Residents’ Management Company (RMC)

A Residents’ Management Company (RMC) is a company set up to deliver the services on behalf of the landlord under the terms of the lease, and it is usually a party to the lease. The shareholders are usually leaseholders who collectively own the RMC. The RMC is responsible for the management and maintenance of the building, as well as compliance with the obligations of the lease and a wide range of statutory requirements.

Right to Manage (RTM)

Right to Manage is a legal process that enables leaseholders to acquire the right to take over the management of the Freehold. RTM is often pursued by leaseholders where there is no RMC in place or where the leaseholders are not happy with the standard of management being provided to their building. Right to Manage is however only available to leaseholders of flats, not houses.

Cannon Jones is able to guide leaseholders through this process and can assist in the formation of a RTM Company, to allow the control to be taken back from the Landlord. Once the RTM Company is successfully incorporated, the leaseholders will have control and be able to manage the building as they wish to do so. Cannon Jones will work with the Directors to fulfil their management requirements and legal obligations.

 

 

Ground Rent Collection Service

Cannon Jones provides a full and comprehensive Freehold and Ground Rent management service. We collect Ground Rent for Freehold Investors, Developers and Resident Management Companies to allow Freeholders the ability to free themselves from the administration burden of the Ground Rent collection whilst still receiving the income.
